BEHAVIORISM, CONSTRUCTIVISM, AND COGNITIVISM
1. Behaviorism
Behaviorism is also well-known as conditioning theory. Based on the psicology of behaviorism, learning is a instrumental control of enviroment. So, people can learn because of the condition from enviroment. The condition of enviroment create a stimulli and then reflected into a behaviour.
Related to ICT, student interacts with the computer as a virtual enviroment. In this enviroment, students can communicate with people. The interaction with computer creates a stimulli and then reflected on a behaviour. Here the role of computer is as tutor.
2. Constructivism
In constructivism, knowledge cannot be transfered from teacher's mind to students'. students will understand a new thing by constructing ideas about related topic based on his or her experiences before.
Related to ICT, we can use our preexist knowledge about something and then recast it in out technology. For example, when we are master of certain topic in English, we can serve it in a presentation. but befor it, we have to know about the topic and how to make a presentation first.
3. Cognitivism
In cognitivism, learning happen because of the mental process in people's mind. Student learn about concept and representation of an object that creates an idea or feedback.
Related to ICT, students will interact with others on internet. The interaction creates disscusion, debate, or sharing ideas. These interactions make students have to think critically to others' ideas and give a comment or feedback as the result of mental process.
